January 1956
-Jeremy Edward Fitzgerald is born

July 1960
25 year old Frederick Schmidt opens “Fredbear's Family Diner” in Oakland, California along with his wife, Patricia.

1960
-Diner earns a modest reputation for home-styled meals, decent prices and friendly staff.

March 1961
Scott Charles Irving is born

1961
-Frederick decides to include an “Open Mic Night” to the Diner.  Fredrerick's jolly, personable attitude quickly becomes a favorite feature among the guests at the Diner.

January, 1962
-The Diner starts to become an “interactive dining experience”, with Frederick playing a character named “Freddy”.  A handful of amateur actors from local universities are hired on to be his co-stars: Charlotte “Chicky” Banner, Robert “Bonnie” Church, and Francis “Cap'n” Courtenay.

*Scott comes to the pizzeria for his sixth birthday party, and is instantly enamored with the new characters. Cap'n quickly becomes his favorite out of the four. He is seen at the pizzeria almost every weekend following, always on Cap'n's heels.

August, 1963
-Emily Sofia Leighton is born

1963
The interactive aspect of the diner was almost dropped entirely, when adult customers started to loose interest in the act, and was met with only sub-par reviews. “The Gang”, as they called themselves, decided to put on one last show before retiring the gimmick entirely.  Their saving grace was that children absolutely adored the show and the characters. After some consideration, Frederick decided to make children the target demographic of the live shows, taking cues from popular children's shows at the time.

April, 1964
- Fritz Alexander Smith is born

April 1966
-Robert Church retires from his role as Bonnie in order to study abroad in New York. Brenna Matthews applies to fill in the position, and the new character “Bonnibel” is added to The Gang. She is met with mixed opinions from the children.

1968
-Frederick signs on to allow prototype “hybrid costumes” to be used within the restaurant. He is assured that only trained professionals will be using the suits, to avoid any possible injury (and lawsuits).  “Goldie” the Bear and “Chap” the Rabbit are un-officially introduced as new members of The Gang.

1968
The springlocks of the Chap suit fail while tester Rachel Williams is inside. Rachel stayed alive long enough to be pulled out of the suit, but died of blood loss before the paramedics could arrive. Chap is taken to an unknown location, and Goldie remains in the Diner.

-Restless spirit of Rachel Williams begins haunting the Diner.

February 1969
Brenna and Charlotte retire their roles as Bonnibel and Chicky.  Brenna had been concerned about her mental health, claiming to always be followed around the diner by the shadow of a crying woman, screaming for help. Charlotte, having begun a relationship with Brenna in secret, decides to leave with her under the pretense of helping her cope.  Brenna is given medication for Schizophrenia, and the couple move to Alamo, California shortly after.

-Rachel remains in the diner, acting hostile towards the employees, but otherwise quite gentle towards the children. “The Shadow Lady” starts appearing in several drawings depicting children's favorite Fredbear Family Member

1969
Frederick suffers from a sudden heart-attack while telling a child where Goldie and Chap went. He is sent to the hospital immediately and placed into urgent care. went to the hospital. He survives the ordeal with very limited memory of the incident. When questioned about what happened on stage, Frederick could only weakly reply that someone screamed “it was YOU!”, and that he had felt something plunge into his chest.  He described the voice as being feminine.

After his release from the hospital, Patricia urges Frederick to retire the act for a while. The Gang is put on hiatus until Patricia is confidant that her husband's heart will not give out a second time.

1970
Frederick's health steadily begins to decline. Patricia calls in some experts to try and find an explanation, but finds nothing. A young man tells the couple, one evening, that Fredrick is being fed on by an angry, vengeful spirit. The young man's warning is only taken somewhat-seriously, however.

1972
-The Gang is, more or less, disbanded. Fredrick is too weak to perform, and the other cast members have since moved onto bigger and better callings. Wanting to keep children's entertainment a priority in the restaurant, Frederick commissions an animatronic character, somewhat based on his Freddy character.

October 1972
-The abandoned Goldie suit is re-purposed as Freddy Fazbear. He is placed at the front of the Diner, where his movements can be remote controlled from a hidden room. Frederick is able to bring his voice to the animatronic via a microphone system connected to Freddy's voice box.

-Rachel Williams possesses Freddy, and is able to communicate  in a very, very limited capacity. Unable to pass on, she finds some solace in entertaining the children who come see “her” at the diner. Any employees who try and get to close to the children, however, claim to hear a low, static-filled growl coming from Freddy. It is waved off as being a glitch in such a new system.

November 1975
Three more animations are built for the restaurant based on The Gang.  Cap'n Foxy the Pirate, Chica the Chicken, and Bonnie Bunny. For a time, Bonnie had two voice actors (one based on Robert's portrayal, and the other based on Brenna's), but eventually the female voice was cut when children kept on asking for the “boy” Bonnie.

January 1976
-Patricia creates Maria the Marionette. Maria is the only non-animatronic character in the Diner, and is brought out in between The Gang's shows to “dance” with her puppeteer, Patricia. Several of the employees finds Maria to be creepy, but Patricia and the children find her adorable. As such, she is allowed to stay as a member of the newly reformed Gang.

February 1976
-Peter (40) and Monica (5) Abraham are found dead around the corner from Fredbear's Diner.  Monica died from multiple stab wounds to the chest, and Peter from a single stab wound to the stomach, most likely bleeding to death. Peter's fingerprints on the knife found near the scene of the crime lead investigators to believe that it was murder-suicide. The case was ultimately left un-solved.

-An incredibly malevolent spirit possesses Maria the Marionette and begins haunting the diner.

April 1976
-Several reports come in about Fredbear's Family Diner that brings the restaurant’s reputation into question.

-Some patrons claimed that they smelled rotting meat coming from the animatronics, forcing the diner  through several health inspections.

-While cleaning the animatronics, a handful of employees said that they felt like something was trying to claw its way into their head. Some of them had unexplainable fits and ended up clawing at their scalps until they bled.

June 1976
Three more people are found dead near Fredbear's Diner. Jonathan Clark (21), Daniel McCormick (19), and Julie Summers (13)

July 1976
-Deciding that enough is enough, Frederick closes the diner and puts the Fazbear license up for sale to the highest bidder, placing the animatronics into storage until further notice. Maria is splashed with holy water and left in a circle of salt as an added precaution, which seems to put The Spirit into a dormant state.

October 1979
-The Fazbear license is purchased by Nicholas Cheswick, including the five characters from the original Diner.

1979
The “new and improved” Freddy Fazbear's Diner begins construction in Walnut Creek, California.
Engineers begin renovating the mechanics of the four animatronics to make them more mobile.

-Maria is made into a proper animatronic, with a specially built exoskeleton to accommodate her longer limbs and torso. Her face is also remade so it can stretch into different expressions like an actual face can.

-Jeremy (23) is hired as an engineer and helps the others develop a simple artificial intelligence for the characters, allowing them to interact with customers on a very small scale. Jeremy begins programming a facial recognition software for the sake of security.

1980
-Renovation of the older models is suddenly canceled, and engineers are ordered to build an entirely new set of animatronic characters for the new pizzeria. The management says that the older models are too old, too clunky, and have a bad reputation due to the old location.

-1985
The toy animatronics are completed along with the new member of the Gang, Balloon Billy.  Jeremy installs the AI and the facial recognition software into the animations and oversees their functionality.

-The children of employees are brought in as a test to see how well the animatronics react to them, and vice-versa. The results are favorable on both sides.

-September 1985
Scott is hired as a day guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Jeremy takes the night shift so he can monitor the animatronic's nighttime programming and adjust it as necessary.

-November 1985
The Spirit re-awakens and begins to influence the pizzeria once again.

-Members of the security team, specifically the night watchmen, quiet their jobs after numerous reports of the animatronics trying to get into the office. The Marionette, in particular, becomes increasingly hostile the longer the nights go on. Several guards claim to have been bruised by The Marionette while on watch.

1985
-Jeremy finally finds time to update the facial recognition software, listing the faces of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy as "friendly".  He asks Scott to help him with the night shift so they can run a controlled test to see how well empty mascot heads work. The masks seemed to confuse the animatronics whenever they came into the office, but they eventually left peacefully. The masks do not work on the Marionette, however.

-The Marionette is taken out of order while Jeremy tinkers with its programming. A music box is added to The Marionette's prize corner. During the day, children wind the music box in order to wake The Marionette up so it can distribute prizes, much like a jack-in-the-box.  During the night, the music box is to keep The Marionette “asleep” and safe in its present box.

-Jeremy makes a note that the animatronic's aggression levels seem to depend on how wound up the music box is. Informs the management to tell new guards that, since this seems to be the case, that any new night guards should consider keeping the music box wound their second most important task.

July 1987
-Emily and Fritz are hired
